Brainerd Lakes Area students receive award and prize money for their Elks Essay contest submissions.

Look who won in the annual Elks Americanism Essay contest. Once again we have local, district and Minnesota State winners. Bill Satre (#615 Secretary-PER) and Herman Wisneski (#615 Treasure-PER/PSP) wer in the class room to make the presentation.

The Community Thanksgiving Will Be November 23rd

The 16th Annual Community Thanksgiving Dinner is underway. Four local organizations have come together to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for you. All orders must be completed by Monday, November 20th. There is no charge for the meal, however a free-will offering is gratefully accepted.

BRAINERD ELKS FLAG DAY CEREMONY Though Flag Day is not a federal holiday, the U.S. Government encourages its citizens to display old glory outside of their homes and businesses. Join your Brainerd Elks Lodge #615 for the traditional Flag Day Ceremony at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, June 14th on the west lawn of the Historic Crow Wing County Court House.

The Fishing Fling is Back at the Amory!

The Brainerd Elks Fishing Fling is returning to the Brainerd National Guard Armory on Wednesday, May 10th. The Fishing Fling event is an annual fund raiser to provide area high school students with thousands of dollars in scholarships. For $75 enjoy prizes and featured guest speaker is Dick Jonckowski.

The Brainerd Elks recently donated $2000 to Imagination Library

The Brainerd Elks recently donated $2000 to Imagination Library, funding over 950 books. Several Elks also volunteered at Llama Llama Read-o-Rama, directing traffic and celebrating reading with over 180 children.
