Brainerd Soccer Shoot

Description

The Elks Soccer Shoot Program uses two different competitions that appeal to different skill levels. The Five Goal Contest is designed for children under the age of eight and the Grid Goal Contest is designed for participants between the ages of eight and fifteen.

• The Five Goal Contest: a series of five goal targets, each with decreasing width. The age group for this contest includes ages seven years old and younger and is open to both girls and boys. Contestants kick from a line fifteen (15) feet from the face of the goal and use a size 4 soccer ball.
• The Grid Goal Contest: A grid is attached to a regulation full-size soccer goal measuring twenty-four (24) feet across and eight (8) feet tall. The vertical divisions are located five (5) feet in from each edge and the horizontal dividers are two (2) feet from the top and eighteen (18) inches from the ground. The contest is open to both boys and girls in their respective age groups, and the groups kick from different positions and use different-sized balls.
